Move over bacon!

Well it is official...as of tonight at 11:30pm the Plano Ice Dogs have captured first place in the Plano "D" league summer league. We've won several games decidedly to get to that point too! Tonight's contest was against our bitter rivals the Skateful Dead. They are one of a couple of teams in this session's league that are really challenging -- along with Gilley's.

We came out strong, Mas Kono (our goaltender) did a fabulous job staving off the attack of #4 from the "Dead", who was an obvious C-league ringer. But the Dogs prevailed and I got two goals in the mix. Was nice to clinch the game, and the first place position with a win like that one. Although it was close (5-4) it was still pretty satisfying. We'll face the Skateful Dead again at the end of the season and I'm sure they'll once again prove our meddle.

Oh...and I need to plug our coordinator, Allen's b: The Psychology of Hockey. I'll be adding it to my "Links" very shortly...
