The path to the dark side...

So...it's been a few days since I last blogged. Life has been busy. Work has been busy. I just haven't found the time to break away from what I'm commissioned to do at work to sit down and collect my thoughts. Sad. Just plain sad.

How is it that I can love what I do so much and still dislike the work I'm doing? Perhaps it is because the work I'm doing is just not rewarding or has no end in sight. That's been work lately, and I've no motivation to continue. So, I seek out something to fill the void that's been created. I believe, as the wise Jedi Master Yoda^* stated -- "Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering." To fit my work environment, I believe that "Frustration is the path to the dark side. Frustration leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to loss of motivation and crappy code."

I'm frustrated. I'm working on issues that happened a year or more ago. Issues that are being re-written as new solutions in other applications that are due to release in July, but I'm still being asked to work on a solution as a "stop-gap app". It makes no sense...but what around here does?

So, I come to work and I work. I put in my time. I fix as many problems as my brain can handle in a day and go home. Rinse, repeat. The routine is frustrating...

Enough about me. What's got you frustrated?
